hey man! you have got a nice blog out there! I learnt a lot from your blog about our lineage! Proud of our community man! And I still need a few clarifications : Do we come under Aryans or Dravidians? Were we ever subjected to casteism or iyer domination? Then why is our caste under BC category? As far as my History knowledge permits me to think, the class system of Kshatriyas, Brahmanas, Vaishyas and Sudras was for the Aryan society and Dravidians came under Sudras or Dasyus.. Then why isn't there any trace of Sanskrit or other Aryan languages in our modern tradition? Why do we use the Tamil Kambaramayanam in our Mangala Vazhthu and not the Sanskrit version? Why isn't there a revival of any sort of our ancestral language?

And a few personal ones : I belong to Kannan Kootam, which was mentioned as a vegetarian sect in one blog post that I came across, and this was quite contradictory to the animal sacrifices (keda vettu)that we make for every other occasion in our community. And we dont worship Kulavilakku Amman as our kuldevta. Could there be a mistake? Or could there be many kuldevtas for a kootam?

I know I have quite a number of questions and I dont expect you to answer every one of them. Anyways, thanks for the info.

Manu
